ABOUT DR. BROWN

Dr. Brown is the Director of Agronomic Strategy for WinField United a Land O Lakes company.  In this role he provides leadership in agronomy, nutrient use efficiency, sustainability and soil health.   He received his B.S. and M.S. in Agronomy from University of Nebraska and his Ph. D in Soil fertility/soil chemistry from Kansas State.  After graduation, Randy was a member of the faculty of Kansas State as Crops and Soil Specialist teaching and doing research in soil fertility and Precision Ag.  Randy has been with the Winfield United Agronomy team for 24 years, leading it for 10 of those years.   He has life-long passion for Agriculture, especially working in the area of interface between science and agronomic practice.  Randy is currently focused on agronomic sustainability.  Randy, his wife Beth, and two son’s Justin and Cody are active in production agriculture as owners of the Lazy ET Ranch in the Sandhill’s of Nebraska, practicing sustainable crop and beef production.
